Samuday, the Indian Community
We are pleased to announce the release of Samuday [www.samuday.in], an open collaboration platform. Samuday means Community in Hindi and allows you to contribute and collaborate about the smaller and larger stories that impact your every day life. Samuday uses your geo-political associations to help you connect with your neighborhood.
While there are several social network platforms that we use every-day, Samuday is distinguishingly different. It is not a social network! Samuday is a citizens forum. From user registration to content creation, we value your location preferences and content categorization. This helps create a smarter online neighborhood which is issue driven and comes together for a common cause.
Some of the ways in which you can use Samuday:
1. Write a story about your neighborhood, city, state or the country - Bangalore surprise traffic snarls and what is the latest on the Metro constuction; Cool places to order a dinner box for bachelors living in Versova; Did we goof up in the recent Indo-Pak declaration
2. Discuss from a range of topics
We are also looking for volunteers <http://www.samuday.in/join> who can help share the responsibility and build a great platform for Indians to share, discuss and be more informed.
We work hard to ensure this platform can be used effectively by citizens to collaborate and find a democratic resolution to several issues. Samuday aims to channelize your online presence into a community changing game plan.
The site is now live in beta and we look for your valuable feedback in improving the site and making it more meaningful. You can register on samuday by filling up a tiny registration form. Don’t forget to update your profile information for getting a personalized experienced with your neighborhood. Please take a look at the Feedback section, where we constantly discuss upcoming features and fixes to make the platform more effective. We plan to make a big splash later next week, when we go live and invite our larger community to be a part of Samuday.
